Documents of "George" Forster, who accompanied Captain Cook on his second voyage: (1) Original Degree dated 21st Sept. 1785, conferring the Doctorate of Medicine of the University of Halle on Forster for his work on the esculent plants he collected in the South Seas, and for his services to natural history in general. (2) Degree conferred on Forster by the Royal Scientific Society of Gottingen. (3) Specially printed document conferring membership of the Gesellschaft Naturforsschender on Forster for his great services to mankind and his writings on natural history. (4) One volume of photographs of the above (NK 6636).
